About
Hi, I’m Cola,
I'm a certified hypnotherapist based in Bethesda, Maryland — trained directly under Dr. Michelle Wei at Rockville Hypnosis, one of the most respected hypnotherapy practices on the East Coast, and certified through the National Guild of Hypnotists.
I'm also a SolidCore instructor, a yoga student, a gym girl, and a German Shepherd mom — fairly committed to the idea that the mind and the body are not separate problems.
Meet your Hypnotist,
Cola
Why I do this work
Quick disclaimer: I'm not going to swing a pocket watch in your face. You will not cluck like a chicken. Stage hypnosis and the work I do are completely different sports — I do the second one.
I spent eight years in the technology industry. Logical brain, structured job, the whole thing. And in the middle of that career, I started reading — Joe Dispenza, quantum physics, the neuroscience of meditation, the work of Marisa Peer. I watched Marisa hypnotize people on stage and rewrite their lives in twenty minutes and thought: that. That's the thing I've been circling around for years.
So I went and got trained. Because once you understand how powerful the mind actually is — how much of your day is being run by subconscious patterns you didn't choose and never agreed to — you can't unknow it. And once you can't unknow it, you have to do something with it.
This is the something.
My approach
Hypnotherapy gets misunderstood because it gets oversold. So let me say plainly what it is and isn't.
It is: a focused, deeply relaxed state where your conscious chatter quiets down enough that we can speak directly to the part of your mind that runs your habits, beliefs, and reflexes. We use that access to update what's been running on autopilot — break a habit, soften a fear, install a new self-image, reset a stress response.
It isn't: mind control, sleep, gimmicks, or one weird trick. You're awake. You're aware. You're in charge. I'm just guiding the conversation.
My practice is grounded in the formal techniques I trained in — suggestibility testing, regression, parts work, neuro-linguistic programming — and informed by the frameworks I've spent years studying on my own: Dispenza's neuroscience-meets-meditation work, Marisa Peer's hypnotic methods, quantum physics, and the real (not Instagram) version of manifestation. I don't separate the science from the soul. They're both doing the same job: helping you remember you're not stuck.
